Developing A Kingdom Culture
There are many ways that we think of government. Living in Washington DC creates a mindset that needs to be broken if we are to understand Kingdom government. When the disciples began to argue about who should have the highest placement in the Kingdom and who would sit at his right hand or his left Jesus rebuked them. Kingdom government is not about positions of power but positions of service. He told them that they should not think or try to function as the world functions but rather that the greatest among them would be the servant of all. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords but while on earth he was one who served.
There are many ways God speaks about the Kingdom and his people; as a nation; as a vineyard; as an army. But the one that most accurately describes us is when he calls us a family. We are the family of God. All Kingdom Government comes down from the FATHER. We are the children of God. We are sons and daughters of righteousness. Kingdom Government is first and foremost a function of the Father. Jesus came to bring the Kingdom of God to earth. He was the exact representation of the Father. Kingdom government is to express and release the Fathers heart on the earth. Jesus only did what he saw the Father doing. He only said what he heard the Father say. He established the government expressing the Fathers love and mercy and goodness and then sent them out to heal the sick and set the captives free and tell them that The Kingdom of God had come near.
God is raising up apostolic fathers and mothers in the Church to prepare for a harvest of many sons and daughters and expand the Kingdom on earth. This is what we will focus on in establishing the culture of Kingdom government.
As we continue to change our world view and create a new Kingdom world view and mindset these values will be formed in us. As they are more fully formed in us they can be released to the world.
