The Gate Church
We are the Jacobs of the twenty-first century. We are on a journey. The road is often crooked and, at times, very lonely -- even a little confusing. All the pieces don't fit all the time. We know that, like Jacob, we have weaknesses, but we are hungry for an encounter with a living God, a face to face with the God for whom all creation longs. Jacob encounters God and confesses. "How awesome is this place. This is none other than the house of God and this is the gate of heaven...."
Developing A Kingdom Culture
Our focus continues to be on building revival culture and kingdom culture in our lives and The Gate. Each month we will teach, train and act upon a different cultural theme. We do not want to hear and see and go away forgetting what we have heard or seen so we will continue to review and mature. We want to grow as individuals and as a corporate expression of the kingdom of heaven on earth. In January we reviewed the Prophetic, the Goodness of God as well as Apostolic and Spiritual Fathers and Mothers. Evangelism and Healing are the two keys to this present move of God so we will go deeper in strengthening the Culture of Healing at The Gate and Salvation in the marketplace. We will continue to grow in the revival culture and the culture of the kingdom of heaven each month. We will focus on it. Declare it . Testify about it and encourage one another to read, listen and learn how to walk in that aspect of the culture.
Our goal is to increase the ministries we are in alignment with and welcome more leaders into a community of believers who long to see the Kingdom of God come on the earth. Our goal is to increase the numbers of people aligned with us who are hungry for revival. We are going to be intentional in letting people know that we are creating a revival culture. We will be introducing them to the King of Kings and encouraging them to grow. We will continue to train, in seeing with spiritual eyes, in the prophetic, in worship, in hearing Gods voice, in healing and signs and wonders. These are all part of equipping and empowering people for individual ministry but we are inviting people to go deeper than ever before and to be united in purpose as they become equipped and empowered.
We believe it is time to strengthen our covenant with one another and our commitment to build a Kingdom Culture by developing language that will make it easier for us to communicate our vision and values, our practices and purpose. We will continue to train and equip, encourage and empower people but we will do it in a more strategic and intentional way. We will continue to focus on a different revival culture theme each month and develop new ways to stimulate personal growth and corporate growth. All of our teaching and training will include declarations and action steps so that we will be “doers of the Word” and we will release the testimonies of Jesus that open heaven's door for more and will bring lasting change. We cannot change the culture around us without changing the culture within us so we must grow personally and corporately at The Gate.
These are the Kingdom and Revival Cultural themes:
- Kingdom Government - January
- Healing - February
- The Goodness of God - March
- Salvation - April
- Prophetic - May
- Risk and Faith - June
- Joy and Hope - July
- Honor - August
- His Presence - September
- Releasing the Supernatural - October
- Grace and Empowerment - November
- Generosity - December
As the culture of the Kingdom of God is formed in us and our mindsets change from the culture of this world to the culture of the Kingdom we will be able to impact the world and advance the Kingdom of God and hasten the day when his prayer is answered. “Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
