Here we are in the middle of the Isaiah 62 Fast, and we are participating in the intercession that brings a great harvest! We pray for the nation Israel and the Jewish people who are still dispersed throughout the world to remember the everlasting covenant made with God from the days of Abraham. The prophet Hosea heard the Lord say this to Israel, “And I will betroth you forever. I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love, and in mercy I will betroth you to me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord.” (Hosea 2:19-20) We praise Him for His faithfulness as He keeps His covenant of love forever!

 As we pray, we know that revival of the church must come as well. Paul said to the Romans, “… a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all of Israel will be saved…” (Romans 8:25b-26a.) So we pray for the great harvest of souls so all of Israel will be saved! We release our hearts to God that He would save His people, awakening their hearts to the love of God and to a Spirit of grace and supplication as they look upon the One whom they have pierced and see the salvation that comes from Yeshua Ha Mashiach.  

 Essentially in this time of prayer and fasting we are praying for the culmination of the age. We are asking Messiah Jesus to touch His foot on the Mount of Olives and take His rightful place on the throne. Won’t He  come to release His glory and peace in His city Jerusalem, that the nations would gather from every tribe and tongue, with every knee bowed and every tongue proclaiming, “Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father!”

 It’s time to let a spirit of intercession to fall on us to bring in a great harvest! May He bless you as you pray this week. Be filled with His Spirit! May your mouths be filled with His words as you pray! Release the roar inside! May all Israel be saved!
