We Love His Appearing in You
Last week in this E-Blast and at The Gate DC, we talked about God's treasure in us. The treasure God has planted on the earth is Himself in us. We are the saviors He has sent to every nation bringing salvation to the lost throughout the world. Each of us carries His purpose and determination to give Jesus all glory as we complete His work. When we come together, our hearts are focused on Jesus. When we speak, we activate, ignite and release the power of the Holy Spirit into the meeting. As praise, prophetic words, and words of encouragement are spoken to each believer, and through each believer, we reveal the treasure in us, and we can see Jesus in each other.
In 1 Cor. 14.26
, Paul says, "When you come together, every one of you has…." By this, we know the gift of God in us is always ready because He is ready, ready to reach out and touch not only our lives but the life of every believer. The new creation we became when we received Jesus is overflowing with powerful and encouraging words destined to create the atmosphere that builds His church.
God's words released through us edify every believer because they are the creative words that inspire and change lives and ultimately set the nations on fire with the gospel. We do this, not just for our edification, although that is accomplished, but so He can heal and soldier-up the army of God that will complete the victory Christ has won. We cannot afford to be satisfied with an occasional battle being won. No, we must push forward until we have the total victory that Christ died for.
There will be battle wounds along the way and healings to follow. That is why we gather. We are focused on ensuring each person is ready to return to the battlefield as Christ's warrior. Everyone wants healing and deliverance so we can feel right, but is that enough and the end of the matter? It is not. The endpoint is releasing Christ's salvation to the nations. That change can only come through a church focused on the edification of each believer through each believer. It is that change in my life that I long for, and that is why "I love His Appearing in You."
Love you all, Steven and Maryann
